Annie Correal is a reporter who covers New York City for the oldest Spanish-language daily in America, El Diario/La Prensa. Before beginning to write in Spanish in 2009, Annie reported for The New York Times metro section. She holds an undergraduate degree in comparative literature from Princeton University and a graduate degree in journalism from the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism. Her first radio documentary, about kidnappings in Colombia, was broadcast on This American Life and Radio Netherlands Worldwide. She has produced radio pieces for All Things Considered, Latino USA and WNYC. She has discussed her reporting on The Brian Lehrer Show, Morning Edition and Latino USA. Most recently, she has been reporting from Louisiana on the oil spill clean-up.
