ILLEGAL DOES NOT DEFINE THE CONDITIONOF A SICK BIRD. I AM WHITE,72 YRS OLD, AND MY FAMILY ARRIVED HERE IN 1619, BUT I WOULD HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH BEING ASKED FOR MY I.D., ANYTIME , ANYWHERE. OUR GOVT IS RUN BY A GROUP OFMONEY GRUBBING, SELF SERVING, HACKS, WHO WANT ILLEGALS HERE TO WORK CHEAPLY AND BRING DOWN THE AVERAGE WAGE EARNED BY
ALL LEGAL CITIZENS AND THOSE LEGAL IMMIGRANTS FROM ANY COUNTRY. I AM NOT AGAINST HISPANICS, BUT IF YOU ARE HERE ILLEGALLY, I WOULD STAND BEHIND ANY MEASURE LEGALLYPROPOSED TO SEND YOU PACKING.

Why do illegal aliens think that they have the rights of US citizens? There are plenty of illegal aliens from many countries that go to public schools, use hospitals and work without paying taxes. Sneaking onto the US is against the law.. keep it simple stupid!

The chickens are finally coming home to roost for all of those “immigrants rights” advocates that have fought against more effective and practical Federal attempts to control immigration such as E-Verify, a real border fence, and secure biometric ID. The locals cannot stand it anymore and they are taking matters into their own hands. Good for them. Ironically, there is a 98% overlap between the people who fought the new Arizona law and those who have fought against everyother immigration control method. Now they have to live with it. This law means that if I speak Spanish in front of Police Officer in Arizona, they not only can, they have to arrest me on suspicion of being an undocumented immigrant. Then, they can hold me and it is my responsibility to prove I am in the country legally.

I was born in the US. To parents born in the US. From grandparents born in Puerto Rico, where all inhabitants are American citizens (as of 1917, courtesy of the Jones Act).

So now, I now have to carry a copy of my birth certificate or passport on me at all times in Arizona if I want to avoid time in a holding cell for the crime of ‘existing’, even though white, English speaking people do not. This in spite of the fact that my family have been on US soil for longer than most who are supporting this law (since well before the English ever made it here, in fact). And somehow, this law doesn’t violate any existing anti-discrimination laws currently on the books?

I can’t wait to see this challenged in court.

All those who are so staunchly opposed to the Arizona Bill making it against the law for an alien not to have an Alien Registration card in their possession obviously have no clue that it simply mirrors a Federal law which is already on the books.

Sec. 264. [8 U.S.C. 1304]

(e) Every alien, eighteen years of age and over, shall at all times carry with him and have in his personal possession any certificate of alien registration or alien registration receipt card issued to him pursuant to subsection (d). Any alien who fails to comply with the provisions of this subsection shall be guilty of a misdemeanor and shall upon conviction for each offense be fined not to exceed $100 or be imprisoned not more than thirty days, or both.

But, that is not an excuse to criminalize US citizens looking “illegal” by white skin worshipping pagans of Arizona mostly in the GOP, who masquerade as Christians.

These people are hurting our society, not helping. There is already “sensible immigration” as you call it. It is called following procedure as all legal immigrants do. Those you speak of jump the line to cut ahead and are her ILLEGALLY! They are not interested in our laws and processes and only want what they want when they want it. If you are O.K. with this then you should be deported with the rest of them.

Everyone against sensible immigration can’t get past the fact that undocumented immigrants “broke the law.” How many of us break the law everyday: speeding, jaywalking, not paying sales tax on Amazon purchases, online gambling etc. Slavery was the law, segregation was the law, prohibition was the law but what happened to those laws? We can all agree that they were wrong and unjust, and simply needed to be fixed. It was the law to sit at the back of the bus but somebody refused. We are forgetting that with 12 million undocumented immigrants, there are 12 million documented family members. All recent immigrants need to have a MASS BOYCOTT OF EVERYTHING, they offer to society. You think the economy is bad now, think about not having 24 million not spending a dime would mean
